Adult Classes

Fun classes that work on technique and enjoyment through dance.

​

We currently offer Beginners and Advanced Adult Ballet, Adult Dance Fit and Tone, Adult Contemporary and Adult Beginners and Advanced Tap. These are fun classes that work on technique and enjoyment through dance. All our adult classes are a great way to get and stay fit in a friendly and sociable environment.

​

Classes begin with a warm-up including structured exercises to help focus the alignment of your body, to build up stamina and raise your fitness level. This is an informal and open level class; some dance experience is handy but not essential.

​

Please see our timetable for class information. All classes cost £4.00 a class and payable in advance of each 10-week term. If you wish to trial any of the classes we would love to see you so please come along.

 

Adult Ballet

​

Beginners Ballet - an open level ballet class for those who wish to try or recapture the skill they had as a child. A great opportunity to learn the basics of Ballet, allowing you to gain a good understanding of ballet steps and enable you to further develop classical ballet technique. This is a mixed level class with an emphasis on enjoyment.

 

Advanced Adult Ballet

​

A faster paced class for the more experienced ballet dancer, who wishes to enhance their ballet technique, keep fit, and be a part of a fun working environment.

Adult Tap

​

Adult Tap dance classes are a fun and enjoyable way to keep fit. Our beginners adult tap dance class is perfect for adults that always wanted to try tap dancing, or for those that want to refresh, or brush up on their skills.  In comparison, the advanced class is perfect for those who want a challenge. Tap is full body cardio workout but the legs do the bulk of the work helping you tone your legs and hips as well as strengthen your body.

  • Tones legs and hips and builds strength in the legs and feet 

  • Develops a great sense of rhythm and timing 

  • Mental and physical challenge

Adult Contemporary

​

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.

Joining this class is a great way to improve stamina, flexibility and boost concentration. Based on a release technique and focusing on co-ordination, fluidity, dynamics and freedom of movement.

 

Adult Dance Fit and Tone

​

Time to dance yourself fit- offering a variety of music genres and fitness regimes this is the perfect class to achieve your goals. Increase to strength, flexibility and stamina whilst coordinating your body in a stylised manor. You don’t need the gym or any fancy equipment to smash those goals!
